3M™ 2525 Flatback Tape is a 9.5 mil orange flatback paper tape combining high tensile strength with a rubber-based adhesive rated to 300°F for up to one hour. The thick paper backing resists tearing under tension, making it reliable for holding, splicing, bundling, and masking where backing integrity is critical.
The 300°F heat rating makes this tape a practical choice for powder coating lines, paint baking ovens, and other high-temperature finishing processes. The high-visibility orange color aids identification on busy production floors and during multi-step finishing workflows. Note that this tape is not recommended for outdoor use or prolonged sunlight exposure, as UV and weather exposure significantly increase removal difficulty.
